What is a Movie Chef
"Movie Menu"?

From our first episode the Movie Chefs have been cooking up Movie Menus to our listeners.  We take the concept of a restaurant meal and switch the food to movies!

Whether it is a decade such as the 80s (episode one), a genre, a director or a star (Nic Cage and James Cameron were some of our highlights), we use our knowledge and love of film to serve up a tasting menu to best exemplify the topic on the Menu.

What menus would you like to hear us tackle?

The Starter.  If you were going to introduce someone to a genre or a star, what movie is a best example of that work?  For Horror would you go with Halloween or more modern with Midsommar? If someone had never seen a Tom Cruise film, what would you say is a great example of what to expect with the rest of his back-catalogue?

The Fish Course.  Did you know in Sweden they eat a fermented pickled herring dish called Surströmming, a delicacy dating back to the 16th Century.   Upon opening a can of this slimy, pickled fish the smell can induce even those with the constitution of an ox into a retching, nauseated mess.  What stinkers would you serve on the Movie Chef Menu like this?

The Main Course.  The creme de la creme. What masterpiece is the GOAT of your chosen subject?  If it was Arnie would you have Terminator 2 or Predator? Spielberg? You have Jurassic Park and Schindler's List just in the early 90s before we even mention a hungry shark and a peanut butter loving alien.  What would you serve to someone as the best of the best.

Dessert.  Or Pudding depending on which part of the UK you live in.  What is your indulgence.  Your sweet comfort food at the end of a long meal.  It doesn't have to be the best, it doesn't have to be to anyone else's liking.  What is your guilty pleasure?  If you were serving a Comedy Menu, would you go Airplane or do you have a soft spot for Pauly Shore.  It's up to you!
